We enjoyed our stay in this historical spot in the heart of Sorrento. The hotel was also helpful arranging transportation and tours. Rooms are large, nicely decorated, and spotless. The wooden shutters keep out noise and light. A few negatives. One, the lobby is not heated and essentially open-air at one end. In late March, it makes spending any time in this lovely space unpleasantly cold. Two, the breakfast buffet is a little heavy on sweets and light on savory, and they stop replenishing food well before the end of breakfast hours.Lastly, one day we got takeout sandwiches and brought them back to the hotel. There are several large public drawing rooms in the hotel, and we sat down at a table in one to share our meal and play card games. The front desk clerk rushed in and told us we had to leave and eat in our rooms (!?). Otherwise, he explained, someone would have to clean the space. This is ridiculous. We were a group of four adults with sandwiches, not a passel of teens with pizzas and beers. What is this space for if not guests? Has the hotel forgotten what "hospitality" means?

Our family really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It is a fantastic location and the place was immaculate. It was amazing. The only thing holding my review back from a five out of five was breakfast. The food was good, but you can’t keep a buffet empty. I was there three mornings and there was something empty and/or cold every time. The fruit bowls were pretty empty every morning. What really upset me was this. I went to have breakfast and asked them to get more eggs and bacon because there was nothing left an hour before they closed. The guy told me I was already there earlier. Well, I had a cup of coffee at 7 AM and came back to eat at 9:30 with my son and the guy gave me an attitude and said I’m not supposed to come twice in the same day. That was a disgrace for such a high-end establishment.

Absolutely fabulous! Beautifully appointed and location is perfect, just across from the pier to catch the ferry to Capri and close proximity to the shops and restaurants. The staff and service was exceptional. We were greeted by Simona upon arrival she went above and beyond to make sure our five day visit was truly memorable. We stayed in the Roman room and it was magnificent with a huge bathroom and a lot of space to relax. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety in an intimate setting. Shoutout to Romel who greeted us each morning with a smile and excellent service! If you’re looking for a truly unique experience you won’t be disappointed!

Beautiful, historical, very well maintained hotel in a perfect location in Sorrento. Room and bed were very comfortable. The common areas were very nice and elegant. Hot breakfast and along with decadent pastries. . Enjoyed our stay there.
